A Health Routine

About me

Hello, my name is Diego, I’m 34 years old and I have been married for 4 years. I have a degree in Business Administration and I work as an Administrative Manager at a school. I’m studying English at Clac / UFRJ in class 402

I love watching movies eating popcorn and drinking soda with my wife on free days.

Our daily lives are very busy, we usually cook together and always enjoy one meal to eat the next. We have an habit of freezing the cuts of meat already seasoned, in pots to facilitate our daily routine. Especially at dinner, we just remove it from the freezer and prepare our meal.

On weekends we search for new recipes on the internet to try to cook.

We also like to go to restaurants to try different cuisines, but with the arrival of the pandemic we were forced to eat at home. At first it was not easy, but now we are adapted.

My daily routine with food

As I informed above, my day and my wife’s are very busy, so we follow a daily schedule

.When we go to prepare our meals we cook an amount for something around two days. We usually freeze them.

Foods like beans, chicken, onions, garlic, meat are the ones that go to the freezer the most.

We have noticed that with the arrival of this pandemic, families started to cook more at home, and I also changed our eating habits a little bit, here at home it was no different. We started to eat more fruits and vegetables in order to balance our meals.

Food routine

My eating routine starts with a cup of coffee with milk, two slices of bread and scrambled eggs. Before the time for lunch I usually eat a cereal bar or drink yogurt, I do this because I wake up too early, avoiding a long time without feeding.

For lunch I eat rice, beans, a piece of chicken or meat, sweet potatoes, lettuce and brocolis. Almost at the end of the afternoon I usually have only a very strong coffee to keep me awake until the end of my work

At dinner I usually avoid heavy foods, sometimes I like just a grilled chicken with some vegetables. Throughout the day I eat some fruit, I really like bananas and apples.

After the pandemic, I belive that I’m not going to have any difficulty in staying with a healthy diet. But I will feel like going to a restaurant, eating something different. I hope that when it’s all over, we can look back and improve as human beings.
