My eating routine
My food menu and eating routine are very simple. I try to be as practical as possible because I live alone and I don’t like to cook just for myself.
Breakfast - I’m not in the habit of eating right after waking up. I need some time awake so I can feel the desire of eating something. I usually drink pure coffee or some tea and eat toasts with cheese or cream cheese, almonds and some more practical fruit (banana, tangerine or apple). Sometimes I make tapioca and eat it pure or with ricotta cream or chickpea paste (If I have made).
Sometimes, rarely, between breakfast and lunch I eat a fruit or a cereal bar.
Lunch - I don’t eat any kind of meat and I don’t usually eat large quantities, but I try to vary the food a lot. I choose to eat more leafy salads, raw or cooked vegetables, with some combined portion of grains, cereals and seeds. I like to add more flavor to my food using olive oil, lemon, mustard or pepper. I love pasta but I avoid it.
In the afternoon I always drink a pure coffee and eat a slice of whole grain bread. Sometimes I make a smoothie from oat milk whipped with avocado, banana, strawberry, chocolate or any other ingredient that I think matches and that I have at home.
Dinner - I don’t have dinner. I usually eat fruits like pineapple, papaya or grape, some almonds or nuts, yogurt, or cookies. I feel more thirsty at night, so I drink a lot of water in that part of the day and I think it takes away my hunger. But on Fridays or Saturdays sometimes I like to eat pizza and drink wine.
