The urge to eat
The quarantine made my habits change. My whole life changed. Usually the food is the way I escape from all of my problems. So, during the quarantine it’s not different.
For example, I am eating junk food frequently, instead of healthier foods. But now I am trying to eat better, because the quarantine is lasting longer than I thought and I can’t keep these bad habits.
In other words, my new diet is based on fresh vegetables and fruits, lean meat and less consumption of junk foods. I am trying to wake up early and eat everyday at the same time. So guys, I will write a little about my detailed diet in which I consume 2000 calories per day.
· Breakfast: My breakfast consists of tapioca, white cheese and coffee without sugar. Now and then I change the tapioca for toast or brown bread.
· Lunch: My lunch consists of seedloaf rice, fresh vegetables, lean meat and sometimes beans.
· Snack: My snack consists of: fresh fruits, juices or iogurt with granola.
· Dinner: My dinner consists of vegetables and lean meat or a snack with toast, cream cheese and ham.
Of course it can be a huge challenge to avoid junk food. I also slip sometimes, therefore it’s important to try and I am happy with my changes. I try not to waste food. I keep the food refrigerated so that it doesn’t spoil and I usually put only what I will eat on my plate.
I realized that I was spending more to eat healthier. However I found out that there is a weekly street Market, every Wednesday, close to me. And now I reduced part of the costs.
I made those choices because I needed to eat better for my health. I am not totally satisfied, seeing that I am not exercising yet. When the quarantine is over I will join a gym and keep my current healthier eating habits. And I am going to exercise in my house until quarantine is over.
